House Extension, Sprotbrough
Overview
A new house extension in Sprotbrough called for a flat roof that performed as well as it looked — warm, energy-efficient and ready to take two large skylights. JLH supplied and fitted the complete system from deck to finished membrane.
The Challenge
Modern extensions need a warm-roof build-up to meet current standards and keep the new room comfortable year-round. The roof also had to be set out precisely around two sizeable skylight openings — fully formed and weathered now, ready for the glazing to be installed at a later date.
Our Solution
We installed 45 m² of Fatra single-ply PVC over a warm-roof build-up incorporating 130mm of PIR insulation. The membrane was hot-air welded throughout and the two skylight kerbs were formed and dressed crisply in single-ply — sealed and watertight, ready for the rooflights to drop straight in when they arrive. Supplied and fitted start to finish by JLH Flat Roofing Ltd.
The Result
A warm, energy-efficient, fully watertight extension roof with a clean architectural finish — and skylight openings prepared to perfection, so the final glazing will sit beautifully and leak-free.
