Overview

Some jobs are the ultimate vote of confidence. For this one, a valued client flew JLH all the way to Bridgetown, Barbados — because they trusted us, and only us, to get it right first time and never have to come back to chase a leak.

The brief was a watertight valley beneath a shingle roof system on a residential property, in a climate that gives a roof nowhere to hide.

The Challenge

A roof valley is one of the hardest details to get right — it's where water concentrates and where lesser systems fail. Here it had to be perfect: fully integrated under the shingle covering, and reliable for the long term in an exposed tropical setting. And being thousands of miles from home, there was simply no room for call-backs.

Our Solution

We installed roughly 50 m² of Fatra single-ply PVC to the valley — fully hot-air welded into one continuous, homogeneous membrane with no laps or joints to fail. The single-ply was then dressed and weathered neatly under the shingle system, giving a clean, fully concealed, watertight detail.

The Result

A flawless, leak-free valley the client can forget about for decades — exactly the peace of mind they flew us out for. Proof that when it absolutely has to be right, people trust JLH to deliver it.
